A pet owner wanted strangers to not be scared of her pooch and so she colored her pet Great Dane a shade of pink. She even painted the animal’s nails!
21-year-old Jessica Williams of Kentucky said that she became tired of passersby being scared of her loveable five-month-old puppy Drama and took the drastic step to make her little pup more approachable to strangers. Williams decided to give the five-month-old dog an extreme makeover, which cost $100 (£76) and involved her dog becoming pink in color. She says that the transformation has worked wonders for her dog as people now crowd around when they spot her brightly colored pet, according to Daily Mail.
She said: “People are generally scared of big dogs, and I’ve noticed that some people might not approach my dogs as much as little ones. With them being dyed, it makes it easier to socialise them because not nearly as many people are afraid — especially when they’re pink and purple.”
Williams also insisted that her beloved pooch Drama now makes people smile when they pass her by, instead of scaring them into scurrying away as soon as possible. She added: “It also means that Drama can be the reason someone smiles, and they would be more eager to walk up to us and ask to pet them.”
